I550 Uninet White Toner Heat Transfer Printer from Digital Heat FX. This not a toy printer available from your local big box store. It is a business machine capable of producing good revenue from a home business or to expand printing options for a larger shop. It is not a repo unit or on lease. I bought this for my small shop to take the place of the Direct to Garment (DTG) printing systems I had been using over the years in my larger shops.

I found this system to be superior in most every way. No more pre treating issues. It offers much less garment waste and the ability to print on multiple fabrics.

My home shop is too small for a screen printing set up and I prefer doing small specialized orders or single unit custom graphics. The targeted market is refrigerator art and photos for t-shirts. I have done some high definition photo shirts. This system is the engine for this market segment but my vinyl business took off. This printer does a great job.

No unsightly pretreat square on dark garments. You know if the graphic is good enough to transfer before ruining a garment. There is a learning curve on technique but it is not bad. It took me about 3-4 tries to get the first print ready to transfer.

The prints seem to have good durability if proper washing techniques are followed. This printer is European A4 size but I have the special software that allows larger prints for full fronts. It is a cool bit of software that you can research on the Digital Heat FX website.

This comes with all the A and B sheets I have left. I have done about 10-15 shirts. It is an easy 2 step process that gives great results. The florescent white toner is used in normal printing.

The printer can be used as a full color laser printer for regular office work. Just pull the white toner, replace it with the black toner and print away. You will need a heat press. You can start with a cheap one but make sure it is at least 20x16. When you receive a used one, check the heating plate at multiple points with an infrared thermometer.

Beware of cheap knock off presses. You get what you pay for. I use a 20x25 Geo Knight pneumatic but this is over kill and takes time to learn the pressure settings. I will do what I can to keep the cost down and the safety of the printer intact.

If I find the original box, it will be repacked in that. The item "I550 Uninet White Toner Heat Transfer Printer from Digital Heat FX with extras" is in sale since Saturday, March 21, 2020.
